Dear People Who Think It Is Better To Beg Forgiveness Rather Than Ask Permission

Dear People Who Think It Is Better To Beg Forgiveness Rather Than Ask Permission,

I would like to set the record straight.  I HATE THIS PHRASE!  It is NOT better to beg forgiveness than to ask permission.  Think about it.  What lesson are you really teaching the younger generation by using this phrase?  You are teaching them that it is okay to lie, to cheat, and to steal.  I would rather hear people say, "When in doubt, ask."  Wouldn't that be a better phrase?  I am one of those people that I will say yes more often than I say no, and if I say no, it's probably for a good reason.  If you feel you have to beg forgiveness for an action of yours, then it was probably an immoral or illegal action.  Just sayin.

Thanks,
Summer
